Isla handed over the permission slip then joined the rest of the class waiting to get things underway. A little yawn escaped her, but she hid it well, and she didn't even make much of a sound. She blinked her eyes a few times, widened them, and then considered herself awake enough to start answering questions.

The sun.

Well, that was at least one topic she had seen coming. It was also something she at least had some background information on. They'd even talked about it a good bit at muggle school. She hesitated for a second as she thought about muggle school. She kind of missed it now, even if she was super happy to be at magical school instead. She wondered if her friends missed her, too.

Anyway...back to the sun. She raised her hand. "It's the reason we don't freeze, we have light, and we have plants growing on earth," she said. The sun was pretty much how they were staying alive. If it burnt up, earth would pretty much be a goner. Thank you, muggle school science class.
