But then a younger girl entered the compartment and snuggled up to him. She was SO cute!!! Jina grinned back at her. "Hi, Phoebe. I'm Jina Nicole Morin. I'm a sixth year and I'm ... new," she introduced herself, ending with a rather lame adjective.

"Spirited. Nice to meet you, Jina. And this is Eiji, and he's a sixth year. And he's a Slytherin. And he's not spirited. He's..." Phoebe tilted her head, first one way and then the other, trying to figure out just the right word. "I dunno. You have to meet him yourself and figure it out." But enough of him, and if he wanted her to mention his famous family... she wasn't gonna do it.

Phoebe turned her attention back to Jina. "You're new this term? Where did you go before? You're so lucky you didn't have to go to DUMB Beauxbatons last term. They tried to throw me in JAIL. And they had a dragon attack right on the grounds." Her stomach growled loudly. "I need FOOD, Eiji. What did Aunt Kurumi pack for you?"
Cute. Sure. Phoebe was, honestly, downright adorable but she really needed to be adorable away from others' eyes when she was with Eiji. Please and thank you? Was it too much to ask?

Closing his book and accompanying kanji dictionary - the latter of which he was not terribly torn up about - he settled in for small talk and introductions as facilitated by the Gryffindor in the room...when she quite literally introduced him to this new girl, Jina. Though at least she left the James part out of it all this time.

"Focused," he said to finish Phoebe's thought. That would be a word he used to describe himself at least. "Welcome to the Hogwarts Express," he offered the other girl, it seemed the sort of friendly thing to say when one was making an attempt. And since he did not particularly feel like offering any follow up to the Beauxbatons talk - he was just so incredibly done with that school and all associations with it - he reached for his satchel bag once again and pulled out the tin of cookies from his mum and passed it over to her. "Frosted malt-chocolate cookies. Knock yourself out. You too, Jina."
