SOME HISTORY: Islay Ceridwen Moreau has always believed that she was born on April 20, 2085 to Tegan and Grégoire Moreau. Her family has never corrected her on this bit of misinformation. Islay Moreau truly was born to Ceridwen Vaughn and Finnlay Johanson on April 20, 2085.

Islay’s biological parents met while visiting a dragon reserve on the Hebridean Islands. Her biological father, Finnlay had known, that his girlfriend, and had left when a family emergency left him and his siblings as orphans and his youngest sister in need of a sense of stability. It was his intention to introduce his sister and then-girlfriend to each other but while away Ceridwen went into labor and unfortunately there were complications.

Due to the fact that Ceridwen hadn’t had the time to put Finn’s information on the intake forms all of the information for the baby's father had been left out. However, her contact, her older sister Tegan was able to come and pick up her newborn niece – whom Ceridwen had insisted on naming Islay prior to her untimely death. When Finn came to visit and check up on Ceridwen, having not heard of her demise he received misinformation from Grégoire Moreau as the man had no idea who was calling upon them. This was simply due to the fact that Ceridwen had yet to introduce her family to the father of her child when she went into labor.

Tegan and Grégoire having just had a child of their own only a year prior to Islay’s birth had decided to simply raise her as their own. This was something most of the family agreed on, that is everyone except for Emrys and Tegan Vaughn as they didn’t want their daughter's memory to disappear. They wanted Islay to know about her biological mother and their precious daughter. This disagreement caused a bit of a rift for the family and Islay’s parents decided to move to France in 2086 and they lived there for fourteen years.

Growing up Islay had always felt slightly off with the rest of her family. While she loved them, she felt like there were differences that she couldn’t really put a finger on. [more to come]
