The lifts were always noisy. The occasional clank and rattle was often heard as people rode up and down, left and right. Above the heads of the two men (Krel Ansell / FearlessLeader19) The gold ropes swayed back and forth reminding the men they were there to steady them should the lift make a dramatic change in direction. Or in case they stopped violently.
As they did now.
The lift came to a scccreeeeeecccchhhing halt that ended with a bang.
It’s a pity the lifts no longer were manned by an attendant from Magical Maintenance, because, dear Ambassadors, you both appear to be stuck.
