Gunnar was quiet, but he was merely keeping to himself in order to stay on task, and he was working hard. He thought the topic of today's lesson was fairly cool, but he couldn't help to wonder when he might ever have the opportunity to use this. It seemed awfully specific.
But he continued to work and label his paper with names under the inks, looking up when Noble instructed them on how to assemble everything in order to decipher the information. And that was fairly straightforward. Gunnar added alcohol to one beaker and wizarding solution to the other, then set about assembling his filter paper with the paper clips and splints the way Noble said.
He couldn't quite remember the reason for doing this both ways... had Noble said? Because when he looked at both samples, it was pretty clear which one matched on each. It was... Gunnar looked up when that first year girl loudly announced who she thought it was. Yeah, him, Schmoe. Did he really steal cookies or was this just a hypothetical?
