HISTORY
Nyx Andromeda Higgs was born to a Nigerian wizard father and an English muggle mother who worked as an accountant at a muggle law firm. Her father moved to the UK to start a career in sports management for the Ballycastle Bats, instilling a love of sports in his daughter at a young age.

Ever since Nyx was a young girl, she had an interest in sports. Muggle sports, wizarding sports, it didn't matter. Growing up in a half-blood household, Nyx was enrolled in football growing up, and later joined a youth Quidditch league before heading to Hogwarts. When not playing sports, Nyx focused on strength training and conditioning, which often put her on the outskirts of her classmates and their social circles. Nyx never had much interest in making friends or socializing. Her goal was to be a professional Quidditch player, and she was going to GET that goal. Competition for Quidditch was stiff at Hogwarts, however, so in her third year she convinced her parents to let her go to Durmstrang where she was able to better showcase her talents for scouts.

After graduating, she was signed to the Holyhead Harpies almost immediately. She started as a reserve and was upgraded to a starting player at the age of 20. At the age of 21, she had the honor of playing for the English National Team and went on to win the Quidditch World Cup in 2098.

However, tragedy struck a little over a year later when Nyx suffered a serious injury her to left leg. She ripped her Achilles tendon and tore her ACL and meniscus, and unfortunately did not respond to magical treatment the way she should have. The first two rounds of potions failed, and rather than continue to pump her with medication to regrow her muscles, opted to use the muggle method of physical therapy. This caused her to miss tryouts for the Harpies, and despite being a World Champion, her bank account was drying up. In desperation, she applied for a job at the Ministry in the Games and Sports department, with the hopes to use it to tide her over as she recovers from her injury.

PERSONALITY
If you want to get Nyx to talk to you - good luck. She is a very private person. Nolan Reynolds offered to write a biography for her and she declined because she didn't want everyone knowing her business. She won't even fully disclose simply facts like how many siblings she has to most people. However, if you put in a lot of work and effort, she eventually breaks down her wall. It's not that she dislikes people - relationships have just never been important to her. The only people she talks to on a regular basis are her parents - and probably now her co-workers.

She is hard working and laser focused. When she has her sights set on a goal, she'd sell her own mother's family heirlooms in order to get it. Often times, she has blinders on while she focuses on her goals, making her neglect other ares of her life.
