~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ Claimed by Bits ❤️ ~ Queen of Typos ❄ Magical Mosh Pit ❄ Claudine dove but was not able to reach her wand in time. It hit the ground, rolled for a second or two before it came to a halt. It was quickly retrieved, at that moment the Headmistress made her comment. What? She cared more about her roses than their learning, their education? What was wrong with these Frenchies? Claudine rolled her eyes at the Headmistress’s dramatics. Yes, the roses were delightful and a pretty bunch, perfect for sketching and admiring but that woman needed to get over herself.
Not giving a second thought to the drama queen in their midst, Claudine continued her practice. It certainly took her a few more tries of intense concentration and wand dropping but to her relief and happiness, she mastered the complex wand movement. Smiling to herself, the Snakette muttered the incantation without doing the movement. Then…
She was ready to try the spell. “Loricatus.’’ Cue the most complicated wand movement she had ever attempted: twist wand among fingers with thumb as leverage while flicking wand upwards. “Darn it,’’ she muttered in slight frustration as the wand slipped out of her grasp for the millionth time. It raced for the ground while a beam of light shot from the tip and headed straight for a patch of roses. The result of this accident?
The said patch of roses were burnt to a crisp in the blink of an eye. Just look at the light trail of smoke rising from them.
