He could not come up with an alternative reason as to why they were talking about interior design beyond his first inclination-- Hogwarts students were going to be put to work.
Alessandro was not a designer. He had impeccable taste, sure, but he was not going to roll up his sleeves and make-over Beauxbatons. The French did not endure the mist. If they were looking for a face lift, they could do it on their own.
