Plus, after meeting the minister and having him so rudely say that she was Adam's daughter she wasn't sure if she fully felt he was able to lead everyone.

She looked around the room not sure where the exit even was at this point but wanting to find it. She couldn't understand why everything that involved guys she liked was so damn complicated all the time. Why was it that others had it so easy, had fairy tales and she had nightmares. All she needed was a killer to jump out and it would be the perfect new horror flick for the muggles. Trying to avoid her past and start new she thought would work, but James had proven that wrong and then there was Adam. He was sweet,, but still a little awkward. What were they even? They had been out a few times, but was this considered anything or just friends hanging out? She was so confused and this ending to her day was not helping.

Friendly? Good?

What was she just some random coming to bring him lunch? Maybe she was looking at this all wrong, maybe she had just made an idiot of herself, and right now all she wanted to do was run away. She felt her body stiffen as it always did and the emotional walls going up that she hadn't pulled out in a while, but there they were just as if nothing in the past year and a half had even happened. "It's nothing really, I was in the neighborhood so.." She hadn't been, it wasn't easy really getting here, but she stuck out her hand with the bag so he could take it.

"Now if you don't mind I'd like to go home." She felt so stupid and she needed to leave before anyone noticed them in here. She didn't want to get him in trouble and she didn't want to feel like she did any longer. Her eyes lowered when his hand went to her's instead of the bag. She bit her lip for a moment thinking about it. "Are you sure you can step away, this place seems like you are needed." Though it was like this every day from what she was gathering.

Taking a deep breath she looked at him, "Coffee would be nice if there is somewhere we could get a cup." She figured the ministry didn't have something stronger so that would have to wait until she left.

His fingers found hers, but then felt the bag. Adam wasn’t sure if she wanted him to hold her hand or take the bag. His fingers rested there for a moment before they closed around the bag. He took it from her hand, transferred it to his other hand, and then reached back over for Zita’s hand, weaving their fingers together. He felt the need to physically reassure her, and while, ideally, he would have pulled her into a hug, holding her hand would have to do. At least until they had a conversation about where their relationship was going. Right?

”I alvays have time for vou.” Adam knew it was corny and he felt a little stupid saying it, but for as long as she wanted him around, Adam would always find the time for her. He gave her hand a squeeze. ”Come, zee beste coffee ist upstairs. Vhich ist by das exits so if vou vant to leave, vou can make ein guick get-avay.” he joked, hoping his tone was light and teasing sounding. There was a lot of truth to his comment though, because she would easily be able to lose him in the atrium’s crowds. Especially with his crappy eyesight.

But there was still the problem of how to get her out of here and there really was no way to go that didn’t involve the room spinning. He sighed internally. Why did life always have to be so damn difficult for him? Securely holding onto her hand, he shifted a little closer to her. ”Um,” he paused not wanting her to get upset again, but he needed to warn her. He flushed a slight shade of pink as he said, ”Das room might spin again.” He turned so he was facing her, blue eyes looking at her, but not completely focusing. He had left his sunglasses on his desk. ”Und, it might help if vou close your eyes und lean into me. I promise not to grope.” He smiled lopsidedly, the way he did when he was trying to be funny. He’d found that closing his eyes helped with the spinning motion, because it seemed like the doors spun, not the floor. "Ready?" he asked her.

”Der ausgang bitte,” (The exit please) he asked the room. He had found out the hard way that the room understood him better if he spoke in his native language.
