how he spent last year:
Max spent the summer stressing and incredibly anxious, the looming approach of beginning school was heavy over him and all the expectations he assumed would come along too. So, it was with equal parts glee and disappointment he found out he was actually /just under/ the deadline and would not be attending for a whole ‘nother year. His friends (Finley and Nikolai Barton) would be going, however. He squirmed and cried (privately and not so much) and pitied himself, barely able to admit the truth that he would not only miss the two boys desperately but that he felt left behind. He threw himself into old music, classic horror, and the arms of his older brother who was all too sympathetic to Maxi’s feelings. On one end he was being coddled by both mother and brother, while on the other his well-meaning father and Godfather did everything in their power to ‘toughen him up’ and ‘prepare him for the real world’. Naturally, the boy was torn, uncertain of which path was in fact the right one and rather than actively choose Maxi did what made sense to him. He did both. He was emotional and tough, he tried to improve his speech but only when it suited him to do so. The Eleven-Year-Old was the epitome of lukewarm.

and then, quite abruptly the boys were back and not going back to school at all and Mazi’s confusion was once more twisted and met with more emotion than the young boy knew what to do with. So, he cried and squirmed, and clung to Niko whenever he could. It was a symbiotic relationship which worried his father for Aiden had seen this same pattern with his eldest son and the unfortunate soul name Rorie Hazelwood. Despite what he learned of Hogwarts’ new Headmaster and rules, Aiden promised himself he would, INDEED, send his son away to school. A decision Clarissa and Damien both rejected vehemently until a deal was made. Maxi would be sent for his first year and if he absolutely hated it he would be pulled out immediately at any time with no excuses. It was not exactly a deal or even a promise but Damien and Clarissa knowing good and well that Aiden would not change his mind cautiously agreed.

The plan was kept secret and to this day still is. It would be quite the shock on September 1st when Max instead of having a grand party was driven to the Platform 9 ¾ and pushed on to what could only be assumed was pure doom for a boy so gentle, anxiety-ridden and fearful.

a short synopsis of a very Evan Eastwood history :
raised in a family of very strong women and surprisingly supportive men. The Eastwood clan is known for their work in MLE, as well as their discoveries involving dangerous creatures. With so many positive role models, you would have believed her utterly satisfied, but the lacking figure of a father in her life often left Evan feeling as empty as a beat-up drum. When she finally met her father - a farmer by the name of Elliot Pearson - Evan was overwhelmed with everything about him and his English upbringing. Muggle though he was, Evan decided she had missed out on her European Witch heritage and, with some very serious convincing, she applied to transfer to Hogwarts. No longer a Thunderbird, Evan made herself a home within the castle walls almost immediately- finding friends, new challenges and a whole other part of herself along the way.

after Evan's first term a few very important things occurred. She realized she shared absolutely nothing in common with her biological father. She was very nearly swallowed up by a great big mist. She fell out of friendship with Eloise Fairfield. She begrudgingly came to accept Nina Castillo as a peer, and she found herself unbelievably in-like with a newly-adopted Drewett Gunter.

Near the end of a very tumultuous term, Evan was one of the few children pulled from Hogwarts post-evacuation. Sai Eastwood dragged her daughter kicking and screaming, with little to no intention of allowing the DC native to return to the school.

Theo considers herself a tough girl. she’s the first to throw a fist, the first to proclaim herself, and the first to whatever authority is in her way. the baby of the family, Theo is spoiled and often gets her way while her older sister (poor Helia) is groomed to take on the family business. Theo, is not sympathetic to her sister and often makes the young woman’s life a living hell. Helia cannot wait until Theo is back at Hogwarts.

The Gryffindor is fiercely loyal to her friends and firmly believes true friendship to be noble and good. in this way, she sees romance between friends as a sort of betrayal. A rule breaker, problem maker, risk-taker and sweets maker. Theo claims her only weakness is her sweet tooth (this is very much not the case). if you asked her to describe herself she would chose three words : invincible, lovable, brave- and while she is these things and more, there is much left to be desired in her manners.

While born and raised in the UK, Theo’s parents have done well in teaching both daughters about the rich history of South Korea, the customs and their heritage. Theo has a very strong sense of pride for her ancestral home and cannot wait to visit again (the food! the family! the clothes!). her Korean is not very good, but she’s working on it.
