When it comes to the world-famous Harry Potter and the Cursed Child plays, there's one issue that has plagued fans: hardly any footage from the production has been released publicly for fans to see (save a few seconds of promotional clips).

A full three-minute montage was performed during this year's Helpmann Awards (the Tony awards of Australia), which was a world first for the eighth and final story about J.K. Rowling's most famous literary character.

The clip below from the awards, this past week, shows the meeting between Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy, their Hogwarts Sorting, and the fallout between Albus and Harry after the former's surprising Hogwarts House choice.





Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is currently playing in London (its premiere spot), New York City, and Melbourne, and will soon open in Toronto and San Francisco, as well as the first non-English production in Hamburg, Germany, in the coming months.
