Sammy had recovered his composure by the time the other boy in the room turned and asked him a question. Even so, his ears turned pink under his auburn hair. ”N-n-nothing,” he stuttered out feeling utterly ridiculous. Clearly the other boy in the room was more familiar with the items and doodads in the room and Sammy was suddenly feeling even more stupid. The look on the older student’s face didn’t really help either.

Perhaps coming up here had been bad advice.

Pretending confidence, Sammy walked back over to the game and started poking buttons on it. More noises and lights flashed, but this time, Sammy was ready for them and managed to keep his surprise to the weird looks on his face. He wasn’t exactly sure what the purpose of this contraption was, but he kept just pushing buttons at random.
