For once in his academic life, Dezi Willard was actually paying attention to a class. No, not just paying attention, Dezi was invested in this class.
Maybe it was the fact Barlow didn't look like your regular professor, all uppity and boring. Maybe it was Barlow's hair and his curl definition that honestly made Dezi a little jealous. ~~Maybe it was Maybelline.~~ The odds were that it was all the magic tricks. Yup, that was it. He was caught once Barlow produced a galleon from behind his ear.

Muggle magic tricks were the coolest.

The fourth year was going to go to the front table and get a deck of cards but, as so often happened with him, something else caught his attention and he was sidetracked. "Ooooh, those get separated even if they look so so so stuck to each other!" MAGIC! He loved it. "Can I watch you do it?" Maybe watching wasn't exactly what Barlow had told them to do but he was excited now.
