Eniola should've been more careful to watch where she was going because as she was looking behind herself to apologize she tripped over her own feet and stumbled to catch her footing again. Quote:

Just as she was about to give up, a new line popped into her head. Liquid cyan looks of longing? That would do for now.
As Avalon jotted down her idea, she noticed a faint shadow fall over the dog-eared page of her notebook. Her eyes flicked upwards to take in an older boy standing at the door to her compartment. "Oh! Hello there," she said, closing her book and placing it next to her on the seat. Normally, she would have been annoyed that she had to stop writing to socialize. But her brain seemed to be out of ideas at the moment, so she took the opportunity. "I'm Avalon. It's nice to meet you," she said, standing up and brushing the eraser shavings off of her skirt. She offered her hand to the stranger. As soon as she did it, she regretted it. She probably just appeared way too confident, and he was obviously older than her. What kind of first years waltzed around introducing themselves to older students like they owned the place? Trying to hide her cringe and avoid an awkward moment, Avalon kept her hand outstretched and gave the boy a smile.
The Slytherin merely shrugged his shoulders in response. Benefit of the doubt, Rasting. "It's a narrow corridor and there are plenty of people crowding it," he offered as an excuse on her behalf. In fact, was his little sister scampering around here somewhere? He sort of..still wanted to avoid her for a bit more only because her shrill voice fueled by excitement would drive him insane like a fwooper's song.
No harm. No foul. Wasn't like she had bumped his station during Potions class.
Perspective with his dramatic, he had that. Most of the time.
Looking past the older girl to the younger in the compartment - the one introducing herself in a rather chipper manner - and watched the shavings get discarded to the floor of the compartment. Hmmm. "Eiji," he offered, extending his own hand and was rather oblivious (or indifferent) to whatever aura she may think she was giving off. Rebecca was a first year too, it hardly seemed like some foreign person or an infant learning to walk kind of situation. "Was not my intention to interrupt your writing."
Just to clarify. She was welcome to go back to it if she wanted. He would just stand out here with...well...he hadn't learned the other girl's name yet. But sure, he could just stand out here with her.
