Honestly she thought Nina's question was quite insulting, but the Korean-American would act like she was cool with it, hence the chuckling.
Fortunately she couldn't read the mind of this girl right here because everything that she thought was completely wrong. Not all Americans were rude and self-centered, and she was raised by two culture since being an Asian-American so please.... "Oh, really?" Her statement being a transfer student perked her up. Aurora could've done that honestly, but her parents insisted to be homeschooled so she would be focused more on OWLs which, she did get a satisfying result. "So where were you before Hogwarts?"
New shoes, ah that made sense. "I see." Blisters after putting on new shoes often happened, usually when the shoes quality wasn't that good enough. Crossing her legs, Aurora rested her well-manicured hands above her knee. "Oh, it's that the latest issue?" She asked, referring to the magazine. For the record, she didn't mean to be insulting. It had been a genuine question. "It's very pretty." And more likely than not, incredibly pricey. If the Slytherin's observations were to deduce only one thing, that one thing would be price. Aurora Chae had money and she wasn't shy about it either, apparently. At least that's what Nina assumed. 'I don't carry counterfeit product' was a bold statement to make. A rather snotty one, as well. But Nina still smiled sweetly at the girl sat across from her. Acting. Something they had in common.
Nina nodded in reply, noting the key change in the other girl's voice upon receiving the information. "France," she almost sang her response. An easy smile made it onto her face, "Beauxbatons." She missed it immensely. Or rather, she had convinced herself that she missed it immensely. But once you tell yourself that you believe something to be one way, was there really a difference between reality and delusion? Not really.
Her shoes were good quality, for the record. They weren't exactly Chanel, but not everyone could be Aurora Chae. Her eyes shifted down to look at the magazine, before looking up and nodding. "You can borrow it if you want, I've finished reading through it."
