SPOILER!!: Minister for Magic

Improving astronomically. Perhaps they could finally put the dark legacy that had been the Ministry under Nickles behind them all, eyes solely forward.

His chest was positively swelling with pride. He could honestly CRY, but would not. He could handle himself with a bit more professional poise in the moment. Until England won that is. Then all bets would be off.

Knowing his son - one of them - was in the stands, along with his daughter and her family....the Minister elected to leave his private box in lieu of viewing the match proper from the stands and among the public. Much better for feeling the energy and experiencing the World Cup, if he said so himself.

So it was that Charles descended into the stands with a wide GRIN upon his polish scruffy features. The Minister briefly retrieved his golden pocket watch from inside the pocket of his crimson suit vest to check the time, squinting a bit as the light hit it in just the right way that it reflected into his blue eyes and blinded him just a bit. Everything was running like clockwork and it was proving to be QUITE the match.

Pocketing it again, and still standing on the steps between the rows of spectator seats - waving and greeting as he made his way down - Charles turned his attention skyward at the players.

The whistle might get some use yet.

Though all at once he saw the seekers going for the stands and his eyes went looking for the golden object they were after, but what he saw put more sweat on his forehead then flying on a warm day. His whistle was being blown as both players were going straight for the British Minister of magic and his pocket watch. His whistle was no good, because it was to late to stop them as both seekers were speeding right for the stands. [...]

Conley had been seated in the stands long before the game had started, intent on catching every moment of the game. His department had put a lot of work into making sure that all the international aspects of the game would go off without a hitch, and so far, there hadn't been problems. Well, at least not in regards to his jurisdiction.

He had been watching the British seeker when she took off, heading in his direction. Eyes scanning the area, because surely the Seeker wouldn't have taken off like unless she had spotted the Snitch. Something flashed nearby and Conley's eyes sought it - only to find The Minister and a flash of light.

"Oh no," Conley muttered, then was on the move. Who knew if the players could change course in time not to take out the man. "Minister watch out!" he called as he jumped down a row and reached out a hand to pull Charles out of the way. Last thing he needed was for the game to take out his boss.
