Arjun was a smart player and instead of waiting for the quaffle to land in his arms, he flew toward it to secure it in hold under his arm as he followed Raju's direction down the pitch. When moving, he weaved through the other players in the air and spared just a solo glance around for Aparna to see if she was in a good enough place to pass the ball across to. However, his glance had to be quick and he wasn't able to verify she was an easy pass so he stuck with passing it back to their captain.
Arjun rolled the ball down his forearm and held it between his hand and his broom until he was slightly ahead of Raju. In training, they practised this move until they were able to do it in their sleep. As Arjun's broom dropped below the other players, he tossed the quaffle up into the air for Raju to collect on his way through with the hopes that Aparna would be able to collect from him after.
