His eyes darted toward her bookshelf and was curious to see what kind of books she kept in there. Maybe there were Comics on that bookshelf that she didn't keep in the Ravenclaw Common Room. It was a good reminder of why he came here in the first place as he walked over to her desk and placed the bag onto it's counter.
"That's actually why I come to see you today, Professor." Mark answered to her. "Maybe we can talk about comics?" It certainly seemed that the conversation may very well lead in that direction at some point.
Kay had missed practically the entire first year of this Ravenclaw’s Hogwarts life. It was sad because she hated to think of what he and the other then first -time students must have gone through. Not for the last time, she felt anger towards Scrimgeour and his minions. However, at present, she was very much interested in the bag and what it contained. Both Mark and it received curious looks as she moved from the door to the seat behind the desk. Kay remained standing to peer into the bag. “Ah, comics,’’ she began happily. “I’ve liked them since I was a girl. We surely can talk about them, Mr. Gunter, but where did you get these from? Are these the missing set from the Ravenclaw library?’’

“Quite welcome.’’ Kay smiled warmly, pleased to have a visitor, especially Dorian. She rather liked him. “Thank you. That means a lot. I’ve missed Hogwarts and everyone every second I was away.’’ She took a moment of silence to listen to what the fifth year had to say and admittedly, it broke her heart to hear yet another kiddo had been miserable. She further understood how Dorian felt by his action. “It’s quite alright. I know it was harsh on many of you but the good news is that that term is behind us. The new Headmaster is more than capable of running Hogwarts. And of course, I am here for you lot. I have no plans about leaving any time soon.’’ The professor gestured to the chair. “Have a seat.’’ She moved to her own chair. “What’s important is that you’ve made it to this term which is an important one.” AKA OWL year. |
