But oh good, Nina said she was nice, so that meant it was chill. All good. No drama here. But clueless Ethan didn't realize that there were more to her words, because of course not.

He waved over at the girl (Lany) who asked of Nina's guest, even though she had answered, he figured he'd full name her in case she happened to visit the trophy room at some point so she could see who his father was. "Denton. Ethan Denton. Pleased to meet you."
Snacks? Ah right because of course there would be snacks at this party. And Nettie settling in on his other side was appreciated because he there was plenty of him to share (or probably not since he hadn't hit his growth spurt yet) BUT he liked them both well enough that he wanted to sit by both of them. Besides, wasn't like was randomly gonna start snogging one of them when he was the only boy present. Wait. What? OH this was a GIRLS THING?? Well that explained the looks by some people.
As Chloe went on to say firmly for him to get out. But he had just gotten here!! Waittttt uhhh did Eloise really just suggest dressing him like a girl?? No, see, Ethan Denton might have been cool with hanging out with girls and supporting them, but he had his limits. Besides there was more pressing matters to attend to like what was this friendly banter between Nina and Nettie about being thirsty? If Ethan was more alert he'd have realized she wasn't simply talking about water, but alas .... nope, went right over his head. What didn't was about if he leaves, Nina was leaving? Wasn't the point for her to connect with others?
He had to admit Nina and Aisling did bring up good points on being inclusive. SEE. He wasn't trying to cause rifts. Before he could suggest anything else on the matter, Chloe was rethinking this with a very rash compromise. "Two hours. And don't worry. I got sisters so I fully understand about girl positivity"
Nails. Okay. This was doable. Except ... why was Eloise about doing HIS nails and dressing him up??? She clearly didn't even like him. "Why are you so obsessed with me?" He shot a look at Eloise. Because surely she had someone she actually LIKED who she could do her nails since clearly it wasn't him. Not that he cared.
"Eloise is not doing my toes. Or fingers." He said firmly at Nettie. OH WAIT, was he supposed to be on his best behavior?? No drama, right? "I mean uh... toes, yes, okayyy ......Eloise can do them." At least he wore sneakers and whatever she did to his feet would be covered. "I can do your nails too??" Need he remind her; sisters. Who may have made him do their nails a time or two in the past.
