All of it was below a black ink that says One day I'll meet you on the other side of that rainbow.

Job Title: Department of Mysteries Chronicler

Job Description: A Department of Mysteries Chronicler is tasked with the storage and maintenance of the archives for the department. They responsible for assembling, cataloguing, preserving and managing valuable collections of historical information, items, and artifacts of varying magical natures. These Unspeakables will receive and handle all packages, items, and documents that enter the department first and often times under the supervision of the Department Head. Moreover, they must ensure records are available to all Unspeakables who need to examine the materials for reference. While part of the administrative team for the Department of Mysteries, Chroniclers work stations are located in Chamber of Codes. Because Chroniclers provide a narrative behind the artifacts, they must to have strong research proficiency and effective written and oral communication skills. Chroniclers must be adept in spellwork. An O grade in NEWT level Charms and History of Magic, and an E grade in NEWT level Defense Against the Dark Arts. They must also have at least 4 other NEWT level subjects. Ancient Runes is recommended.

Personality:
Alyssa is a very quiet girl, namely because she carries around a lot of guilt for some things that happened while she was in college. She takes a bit to open up, but when she does she can actually be loud and rowdy. She gets very passionate about talking about history, especially American, though her favorite thing to talk about by far is speaking of her life back in America, be it about her family, friends or schooling. She's very prideful about attending Yale University before she chose to drop her studies, though she refuses to talk about why that happened

When speaking to her no matter what you'll get one of two sides: The happy, bubbly Alyssa who even though she's shy is always happy to talk... Or the depressed Alyssa who gets bogged down when memories from the past get to her. She'll still be up for a chat, but she'll keep it off of her as much as physically possible.
History:
Alyssa grew up in a small suburban town in Southern Georgia and she spent her childhood with her loving parents, who sent her to private school until she started to show signs of magic and then withdrew her to be taught by a private tutor until she could be enrolled at Ilvermorny.
At Ilvermorny, she met a boy, Mark, she truly thought was her soul mate in her first year and they quickly formed a relationship and spent the years happily together. With her being rather introverted, he was really the only friend she kept. Meanwhile her high scores on her JARVEYs and high marks in school got her a full ride scholarship for three years at the prestigious Yale University, and her boyfriend for the past several years moved with her so they could stay close to each other as he pursued a career in music.
While studying she managed to become close friends with her three dorm mates even though they were from four different majors. Alyssa had been a history major, both for her love of the subject and while attending the school as an alumni she also chose to stick with the major her father had excelled in. Her friends were an English major (Ellie), a zoology major (Krista), and an art major (Maybel).
Her first year at Uni still is probably her favorite year of her life. However, the first week before school started up again her second year, her, her boyfriend, and her three friends had been out celebrating one night, Alyssa being the DD, and had gotten hit by a drunk driver. The accident causing the passing of her beloved and only friends she'd made.
Following the accident, her depression worsened, and with that, so did her grades. She spent two years off from school, still enrolled and when she decided to return to her schooling, her grades suffered still. After another three years of barely scraping by and realizing how much debt she was going to quickly gather, Alyssa decided it was time to leave and move overseas to try to start over.
Former Occupation(s): Honestly she hadn't really worked any. During her breaks from school she was a secretary for her father, though she shined at keeping his schedule straight and managed to help tutor several of his history students when he couldn't.
