History:
Holly spent her two years leading a normal life with her parents, Amanda and Julien, and older brother, Cameron in a small town in the south of Wales called Ferndale. In July 2085, however, a tragic incident involving a fire cost both parents their lives, leaving the two children orphaned. While the reason for the fire hadn’t been completely clear at first, further investigations soon confirmed that it had been two year old Holly who had started the fire through an uncontrolled burst of magic. Naturally the owners of the foster home the two were staying at were informed about this detail but it has so far been kept from both children.

After discovering that they could not have any children of their own Steven and Nancy decided to look into adopting with the help of the adoption agency “Sisters of Hope” which they had found through a mutual friend. The agency closely works with a great number of orphanages and foster homes, including the one Cameron and Holly were staying at. Despite being informed of the reasons for the children’s parents’ tragic deaths, the two adopted Cameron and Holly on May 2, 2086, promising to keep an extra close eye on young Holly and the girl’s magical endeavors.

While Cameron does remember their biological parents, Holly does not; even though both Nancy and Steven are trying to preserve a positive and clear image of Amanda and Julien. They’ve been open about the children’s adoption from the very beginning, not wanting to keep anything from them unless it was absolutely necessary. A single photo of the whole family taken on Holly’s first birthday has been saved and has been hung on the wall alongside other, more recent family photos in the Tamesis household.
