Yes. He was Gunnar. Instead of trying to confirm that verbally and allow any more hiccups to loudly interrupt his speech, he simply nodded. But the hiccups didn't stop just because he tried to keep his mouth closed. He just kept hiccuping behind closed lips that were finding it difficult to remain that way.

And holding his breath sounded like a good place to start. Once Torii took a deep breath, he followed her lead and took his own deep breath before holding it. A count of ten seemed like a good rule of thumb and he mentally counted it out.

"Did it...?" HICCUP. No, it did not work, he found out a split second after Torii did. "Okay, that didn't work..." Hiccup. Uhh. He quickly glanced at the board for the list of remedies.

"What's your..." Hiccup. "...middle name?"
