Distractions to the class? Professor Headmaster, couldn’t he see that she was scared out of her wits? Last she checked, she was only a first year. Of course, Isla didn’t know what Hinkypunks were. Was it her fault for not reading her creatures book before coming to class?! Apparently so. Oops. Although, she did listen to her classmates and her older cousin about it now. The only reason she was more concern than eveer.

However, Isla kept her mouth shut for now. She didn’t want to draw anymore attention to herself. All she could do now was staying close to Rylee and her friends.

Following along, she kept a few mental notes about the Hinkypunks. Hoping one would not come out too soon. Please ...please don’t. Sigh. Hold on...they were doing what now? Steering their boats into the darkness with just one lanterrrn?! First of all, why would anyone do this? Rowing the boat in the middle of the night with very little visibility? Clearly, they were risking their necks over here. No point of staying either way, Isla hated being left behind. She would have to get past her fears!
