Melody was born to parents that were in arranged marriage. They were rich parents, but not the best. The twins had a nanny, but she wasn’t much better either. It is no wonder Melody has a issue with trusting or respecting adults. The parents were muggles and didn’t exactly understand the “special” abilities that their children seemed to have. Life went on, with Melody attending a muggle primary school and basically hating it. Nobody liked her, and she didn’t like them.

Things change when they are due to attend secondary school. Letters for Hogwarts arrive, but they don’t go, due to their parents thinking the twins would be a threat to other students. Instead they are homeschooled. This bores the twins, and before long they are practicing magic outside of tutoring hours. They become well advanced for their age. Normal magic doesn’t interest them. They are more interested in the dark arts, though this is something Melody keeps to herself.

It was over the Spring and Summer of 2097 when tragedy appeared to hit the Mathews family. A terrible fire ripped through the Mathews estate. Miles and Melody are the only ones to suspiciously survive. The pair end up in Stemp House, and as of September 2097 are attending Hogwarts.

Personality
Melody is a socially awkward girl, but this mostly by choice. She much prefers her own company, and generally the only other person she can stand to be around is Miles. Whilst she can generally get along with other people her age, she resents adults. This is mostly down to the experiences she has had in her childhood. She has a fascination for fire and loves nothing more than to set fire. Her other main hobby is reading, though not your average books. She is well advanced in her reading, and will often be found to be reading books not even adults would read.
