Zoryn was beyond disappointed when she failed to get Rafferty with her kick, but unfortunately there was hardly any time to be disappointed at all. Because she had been standing right in front of him when he began throwing spells out left and right.
Which in this case meant that she was on the receiving end of a couple of them.... Yay.
The Gryffindor let out an excruciating scream, but otherwise she managed to stay silent. Her stubborn nature was the only thing that kept her from whimpering.. Skin. Was. Burning. It was the most pain she had ever been in. Her body had gone limp. She wanted nothing more than to fall into oblivion.
The beater could feel her whole body swelling in turn, but after a few short seconds the sheer amount of pain was so great that she had honestly stopped feeling anything at all. Tears welled in her eyes as she dug her nails into her palms. There was no way anyone would see her in tears.
Despite the fact that she kept her eyes closed and her senses were overloaded by this excruciating physical pain, she could faintly hear other voices joining their circle.
After what felt like ages (a few minutes in reality), Zoryn’s legs gave out beneath her body and she buckled down to the ground.
