Anna waited to take her seat only when instructed, and she didn't take too long to finish sorting her equipment as she had already done most of it before being told to sit anyway. Sooo she was doing a bit more waiting along with professor Noble.

Siiigh. Booriing. But better than... well, she didn't know, but being there waiting couldn't be the worst thing ever. Surely there were worse things than that, but Anna couldn't think of anything at the moment.

The girl looked up at the man when he asked the question. "Some people just like it when their shoes have a nice shine to them. I suppose it makes them feel posh and important. Or 'presentable,' as some would say." She did the airquotes and all while sort of stating the obvious, BUT Anna also knew there were OTHER people who couldn't care less whether their shoes shone or not.

Take her brothers, for example. Ollie was the type that liked shiny shoes. Matt, on the other hand, wouldn't even notice if he were wearing bright yellow shoes instead of black ones, probably. People and people.

Anna personally didn't care much about shiny shoes, but she did have to agree that maybe this concoction would be useful when it came to the current school rules. She'd try and get it right this time. Maybe.

As for what ingredients a good polish would have, this Gryffindor honestly had zero clue, so she simply stayed quiet as she waited - and wished - for time to pass quicker.
