Alice had almost forgotten how truly huge the castle of Hogwarts was. True, she had seen it recently at the closing of her job audition, but it seemed even bigger now that the students were here and everything was lively. Fifteen years of teaching in the much smaller Romanian School had clouded her childhood memories of this place. Now as she walked to her seat, she realized that her childhood perception of Hogwarts hadn't been one bit wrong.
The outfit she wore for this momentous occasionn was typical Alice style. Her black dress shirt was rimmed around her wrists with white fabric. It was the same white material of her neck collar, bent down twice around the throat to resemble upside down triangles. Her black hair was long and loose over her back while it came down in a neatly trimmed bang over her entire forehead.
The new History of Magic professor took her seat next to Professor Kay of Muggle Studies. "Good evening, Professor Kaysha Alexandra Stewart," she said, inclining her head graciously in her direction, her voice heavily accented but her pronunciation accurate. "Such an honor to be here. I wonder where are the others? I am surprised we did not all arrive at the same time." In her old strict school, that would have been a requirement.
It was good to be back at Hogwarts. |
