Well there was, nope that was a muggle book... Oh what about... nope another muggle book. Well now this was about to be as interesting as him playing cards in the compartment on the train. “Uh, well I was trying to figure out which one, then I realized I’m more of a muggle reader than a wizard in reader. Never got many chances to read the books.” pointing toward the book shelves around him he shrugged.
“And what about you? Anythin’ specific?” His Tennessee was strong today, but one day he was worried it would be some terrible mix of European and American and no one would understand what he was saying. He leaned against the sturdy book shelf and paid his full attention to the girl, “oh I’m Patrick, don’t think we ever officially met.”
Penny could feel her face burning as the boy turned his full attention toward her. Not because he was a
bou per se, more because he was a person who was talking to her. She didn't do that much and honestly it freaked her out a fair bit. Be that as it may, she was going to have this conversation and be a normal person. MHM!
As the boy seemed to really think about the question, Penny took the opportunity to grab a book off of the shelf and use it to cover most of her face once she opened it, her eyes peeking over the top just enough to see him. "
I read Muggle stuff, too," she replied simply, no more than a little intrigued by him. Her brother often told her she wasted her time reading Muggle literature, but honestly it was all just as interesting as the Wizarding stuff. In her opinion anyway.
"
I will read... just about anything, really. But I really like fantasy novels. The ones with dragons and princesses and creatures and things," she said with a smile
that he couldn't see. Using books as an escape from any harsh reality in the world, often times led her to the unimaginable worlds of fantasy. Because if you're going to escape you had better make it good! OH! He was introducing himself... "
I'm Penny, pleasure to meet ya!"
