But his train of thought was soon distracted by an unfamiliar voice. He turned his head over to the side, taking in the boy with green eyes and black hair. Gabe figured the boy was around his age, maybe a little older.
"Hi," he said in reply with an unnecessary and slightly awkward wave. "I was planning on it, after I pick a creature. Which one do you think is the best? And do you wanna join me? ... I'm Gabriel, by the way. Gabriel Diggle. But you can call me Gabe."
“Ooohhh, my name is Mason.” The goblin replied, his tone mimicking that of the singsong fashion the boy who’s hair he’d long since taken and returned had spoken with.
Dragon! I pick the dragon!” He even took a step forward, as if he had real plans to ride it, but the disguised goblin was no fool. The longer he stayed out in the open with the boy was the more likely he was to be spotted.
“But d’you wanna see a real dragon? He’s just a baby and he’s cool!” His hands flew in the air at this point in exaggerated excitement.
“I can show you a unicorn too. Lots of creatures! We can look real quick then come back and ride these not real ones together.” He continued. Would the kid like that? Hmmm?
