And that was exactly what he did.
The carousel immediately caught his attention. The monkey bars and mini-Hogwarts fort were cool and all, but there was something alluring about those magical creatures going around and around and around. He watched them for a few minutes, not sure which one he should hop on.
It had been some time since Korpsit last had to carry out any mission of this sort. Noah had been staying with a friend and that left her without need for a new playmate. Before that, she’d just gotten rid of another child. All in all it might have been nearly a month since the last kidnapping, but the little girl had once again grown lonely and apparently that was his job to fix.
Like he’d done several times before, the goblin polyjuiced himself into the form of a child, this one looking no older than 6 or 7. The once beady black eyes were now a shade of green and the once nearly bald head now held a mop of black hair.
He skipped into the playground, willing himself not to think about how ridiculous he felt. It didn’t take him long to find the next victim.
“Hi!” He greeted, approaching the carousel himself.
“This looks fun. Are you going to ride alone?” That was....where were his parents?
