There was an almost wistful gleam in Quinn's eye for a moment as Eria spoke about listening to her mother talk, but she said nothing. Quinn was neither one to beg, nor one to attempt closeness in hopes of being invited somewhere. It often didn't balance out in the end either. If Eria ever wanted to extend an invitation to hear her mother speak, or chat with her, Quinn would not refuse, but she wouldn't ask for it either.

So it was a copy of the next book. There was longing and desire clearly written on Quinn's face as she glanced back down at the book, but she made no attempt to pick it up and flip through it, or copy it. Again, if invited to she would not refuse, but she wasn't going to offend or annoy Eria just to peek at a book she'd be able to get a copy of soon enough. It was still quite tempting.

Quinn grinned. "I'd much rather use the window to remove the culprit making the stink. Remove the odor at its source." It was one particular reason she quite liked the Ravenclaw tower. Threatening defenestration could be quite beneficial, and you didn't honestly get that opportunity in a dungeon.

She smiled slightly at the implication of using her to spy on Ravenclaw house, her eyes drifting away in thought. It was a look that suggested she wouldn't be opposed to that in the least. House loyalty was not something Quinn really possessed. Loyalty was something you had to earn from her, and few people had her loyalty. Being put in a house together because some decrepit hat in desperate need of replacing said so was not enough to earn loyalty from her. But Beth had earned her loyalty, which meant, she'd have no qualms spying at the request of her friend.

Quinn returned to studying Eria, although less intently than before, just in time to catch the tail most end of...was that sheepishness? "Something tells me, you might not need to worry about the rat so much anymore." She arched her eyebrows questioningly at Eria for a second than turned to Beth with a shrug.
