| Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict The debate about the meaning of ‘ultrices’ hadn’t slipped past Stasya’s attention. Except, she hadn’t addressed it because she’d been much too distracted by trying to figure out exactly why Derf had gotten all weird when Cam had joined her. It was way too weird for her, but then also it made her wonder if she’d missed something. Either way, both boys had gotten a smile from her seeing as the lesson had begun, so actual conversation would have to wait.
Plus, there had been the dilemma of the discussion questions. Honestly, most of the books she’d been reading recently that hadn’t been for lessons were about Animagus stuff. Definitely not fictional at all, and Jessa and others had already brought up the topic of nonfiction so she’d just remained silent during it all, waiting to find out how it all connected. That and inwardly cringing as Zoryn and Ronan started arguing with the professor. “What about mythology? Legends and fairytales and all of those stories. They don’t always have a specific author,” the Russian and Icelandic ones she knew and had known since she was tiny definitely didn’t, “but lots of those definitely involve magic or things that sound an awful lot like magic if it isn’t” Yes, it was an attempt to defuse the tension, but it also was sort of an answer too.
