Sometimes, you just felt like not using magic and doing things the dirty, hard way. He had dirt on his nose...and some on his thick gloves, too.
He smirked as he peeked into the garden. "I'm only teasing. Do you need help with someone, m'dear?" He enjoyed students actually USING this place. It was THEIRS, after all!
Her head whipped around at the sound of his familiar voice. She scanned the area and spotted Professor Myers with his shears on his shoulder and giggled.
"Hi, sir." She greeted her head of house with a dazzling smile. He was very much a father figure to her and it always brought her joy to be around him.
"I do need some help, sir." That was an understatement. She had absolutely no idea where to start, other than the sign she made.
"I would like to start a garden, but I don't exactly know how." She strode over to the seed packets.
"Which seeds are best to use and how far apart should they be? I don't want to overcrowd them, but the seeds are so tiny I'm not sure how to imagine them full grown."
It occurred to her that it was kind of like the students. They all started out small, ready to be fed and grow. There was no way of telling how they would all turn out. Some would grow to be great witches and wizards, others would be less developed, and some wouldn't turn out well at all. Her stomach did a little flip wondering which one she would be.
