" How long did it take ya figure out the wording and all? ", he asked as he took the book after she tapped it and spoke the simple incantation.. And he wasted no time in opening the book to the first page and beamed at the bold print before him. " Holy merlin's ghost!!.. You're gonna hafta teach me how to do this.. It would come in handy for my research..", Reese said as he closed the book.
The first year hufflepuff listened and caught the mannerisms and realized she was sharing a tidbit about herself.. It took him a bit by surprise.. This was a new point in their friendship and he couldn't help the grin that spread across his face at the thought that he'd actually made a real live friend at school!.. It was a miracle!! And he'd connected with what seemed to be a like minded person. He'd have to be sure and get the rest of the story about how the book came to be needed later when they were alone.
