"So do many people of my size try out?" she asked. She had a tiny frame and didn't pack a lot of pounds. She was energetic, though, and could move around quickly.
She smiled about making memories with her teammates. "That's kind of what's sealing the deal for me. I need to get out more and bond with my housemates more. I should have done that a long time ago, but better late than never, right?" she replied. She had just seemed like so much of a little kid before, and the whole social life didn't stand out to her as much then as it did now. "Umm...I think Chaser," she said, and she started to say why, but then she decided against it. If she made the team, she didn't want the Snakes to know all her secrets. Maddie was super fast, and she thought Chaser would be a great fit for her! Was that super cheesy? Perhaps, but it was also true too... just like you can't truly succeed without failing first, as dismal as failing made her feel. "I think, quidditch is one of those sports where size doesn't really matter too much. Learning to fly on a broom is probably one of the hardest parts of the sport." Well, there was the hand-eye coordination bit with passing the quaffle and making sure to avoid the opposing players, along with careful aim of bludgers, or blocking shots if you were a keeper. But of course she did have the taller frame, whereas Vivian and Hattie were on the smaller side and did just fine, so yea, size didn't matter. "Definitely never too late. I mean you still got, what, four years? Five years?" Was she a second or third year? Or a fourth? Honestly, Skylar couldn't remember, but she at least knew she wasn't a first year. Or a fifth year. "Chaser is good." She was about to add about the hand eye coordination and working as a team-player, but decided against that.
