Patrick offered a small wave to Junia. He had remembered her from the year before but didn’t remember many nice interactions with her, but he was trying to be more outgoing, he didn’t feel like some little baby any more that people wanted to take under their wings and care for.

His cheeks tinted a deep shade of red, he had grown a few inches over the summer, twice. It was like he was the runt of the family in the most literal sense until this summer. His mama complained because he was now standing at about 5 feet 6 inches. His mama expected him to hit six feet by the end of the term. He wasn’t sure where he’d find the other six inches this year.
“Why thank you Sir, I did. My mother was certain I’d hurt myself if I grew anymore.”
He listened to the Baron grumble about Peeves. Patrick understood, he had disliked Peeves since he was a first year and he was invited to their class for dodgeball. He strongly disliked him.
