Nettie was TOTALLY psyched for this wand! She had been waiting for years to get her own wand - although she had pictured it a little differently. For one, she had pictured getting a wand in France, and instead she was here in England. Still, it didn't matter - a wand was a wand. She was sure these British wands were just as good as the ones in France!
She had pictured herself walking up to the counter, placing her money bag on the counter dramatically and saying 'I would like a wand please!' while looking all adorable and innocent. But instead, she was standing in a SUPER crowded shop, with a whole bunch of other kids her age.
She didn't have more than a few seconds to take everything in before a magical measuring tape was wrapping itself around her arms, legs, her head...huh. That was unexpected...but she was sure it was important! So she watched the measuring tape go, giggling to herself.
