a bit of madness is key | miss chanandler bong | those cunning folks use any means Haraldur scurried up to the staff dais. If scurry was in any way the appropriate description of how the old man moved with his furry coat thrown around his shoulders. He completely ignored the fact that it was summer and the amount of people gathering in the Great Hall alone made it way too hot for his attire. He ignored it. He was a grown man and could do what he wanted. Most of his colleagues had already arrived before him though. Although Haraldur picked up on some light conversation, the weight of the events in Dufftown was evident on most of their faces. "Hello there, hi, good evening." He nodded as he passed them behind their backs, giving each and every one of them a heavy pat on their shoulders. He really had grown fond of them all. (He might have also given Roderik two quick pats on his head as he waddled by. A show of affection. Please accept, don't reject.) Bosswoman Reggie didn't get a pat though. She did however get a smug smile and a happy 'good evening' as he found his seat after greeting everyone. SEEEEEEE? He could be reasonable. He could be on time. Kind of. At least he hadn't missed her speech.
Haraldur sighed, leaning back in his chair. He took a quick glance over to Kalen where he was, as usual, next to Tristan. He seemed to be recovering all right. Still... Did he have to worry about ALL of them ALL the time? Why didn't Regina put that into the job description? He glanced over at Paul next to him and followed his gaze towards the Hufflepuff table. Paul seemed quiet and Haraldur didn't want to intrude but if he wanted to talk, then... Haraldur gave the man a quick reassuring pat on his arm. There, there.
Then his own attention was drawn towards the Slytherin table. Not only did they win the House Cup, what was more interesting (unbiased opinion, obviously) was their win of the Quidditch Cup. He tried to single out his Quidditch players and did see some of the team had already showed up, including the Captain. He'd make his round over to them, and the other teams after the speech. For now, he just wanted Noble to leave the Slytherin table and join the rest of staff. c'mere Iggy, c'mere. Ah. He liked the fellow.
There was an owl though which split his focus again. Who wanted what? Why? Curiously he peeked over at Roderik. Give... Give it here. He didn't say anything though. He decided to harass him after the feast.
