He could do it down the road he knew when he was healed but never professionally again. That hurt, still.

Eyes widening slightly with surprise at her offer Jake said slowly "Erm, sure if you're offering? I haven't started to fill my ministry application out yet. Is it difficult?" He disliked filling out forms, always had. Smile widening into a grin he responded "Of course I do. I don't go anywhere without my crosswords." He even brought them to work.

Lo grinned at him and laughed as Jake commented about knowing it was a mistake to not eat the cupcakes. "I wouldn't have been that mad, just…upset because it takes time to make them" still, the way he had reacted just made her smile.

Sass, that was something that she had developed throughout university with her…well, work as a resident advisor always putting her in precarious and hilarious situations. Still, sitting there she couldn't help but smile as Jake commented about those men not being worth her time. "Thank you, really…" wait did he just sigh? Did. He think he was like that? He had never been that way with her, not in the least.

He seemed, hurt not just physically about quidditch and that, that tore at her seeing him this way. He had always been the happy type at school, and now, now he was giving up…or maybe it was bigger than he had always been letting on? Lo just grinned at him and shook her head "why on earth would I offer to help if I weren't offering to help" she grinned at him and shook her head, "no, not at all…we'll have to see what departments have opening and write a CV that fits it - I mean…just re-wording yours, I'm sure you'd be able to find something in Games and Sport" she smiled and looked over to him once more, her finger tapping against her knee before she took a deep breath and stood up.

Walking over so she was standing in front of him she just smiled, "it's not bad, but I mean that could just be me? I did just leave a job as a law intern so maaaaaybe I like paperwork?" she laughed softly and grinned at him, "so you have them on you now?" she asked arching an eyebrow upwards as she stood there just out of reach the breeze sort of blowing her hair into her face. "I've missed you," she added the words quieter than she had intended them to be.
