"Professor, essential oils are really just the condensed aromatic compounds of plants. They're called essential because they are the essence of the plant's fragrance. Sort of an obvious connection there, when you think about it. When I make lotions and things for people, I use some essential oils, since they smell so strongly, rather than using petals or leaves or things." They weren't as useful for her potions, for the most part, but everything had a use.
