Or who might have been following her, because if they wanted to follow her, that was fine, it only meant she would reach the cup first and win the prize. And yes, she would have far preferred flying to walking, as if her flying in at the opening feast wasn't an indication of that. If she could get by with flying to all her classes, it would be such a load taken off of her.
But she had to remain focused, so finding that north star again, she kept a careful watch on it, this time, focusing on where she was walking as well. Periodic glancing up and ahead was multitasking at its finest.
She did here Kennedy's shoutings of a twenty minute warning, but also, did he just give Jessa permission to climb?! Wouldn't climbing be cheating though? Or well, it might actually make things more difficult, depending on how sturdy the hedges were, she doubted one could safely walk on the hedges and look inside to see where they were meant to go... Now, a broom on the other hand.
She also heard a shouting of a young voice asking about showing the way out and Skylar was tempted to find the voice, but hedges in the way. So Kennedy would help those lost, right? He wouldn't let anyone get left behind, because professor duties and all?
Since the voice was too far away, Skylar trudged onward with her following the star. She was making progress, wasn't she? At least it didn't feel like she was going in circles and it seemed like the North Star was telling her to go this way...
