The snowflake pattern in the cabinet was perfect. It had big snowflakes with wide spaces to cut around, so she wouldn't have to worry about those in the pattern. The background was a deep blue, which went stunningly with her dress. It was the right material for leggings, and it felt incredibly comfortable. Leggings should be easy, right?

After five attempts, Night was rethinking her original estimate about the ease of this part of the project. She could never get the leg lengths to match up, and the snowflakes were kind of lopsided. The second issue didn't matter as much, but the legs needed to be perfect. Otherwise she'd never be able to go out in public without one leg feeling colder than the other. She was so tempted to use a straightening charm, but she knew she would lose points.

She walked to the back, slightly frustrated, and looked for a sharpie. Once she found one, she used it, along with her favorite meter stick, to mark up the fabric where she needed to cut. So what if she had to do things a little bit more slowly than her classmates? They didn't have the same visual spatial challenges she did.

After another hour and a half, the leggings certainly weren't perfect, but they were wearable. Night smiled at her progress. She loved the dress, and the leggings made things wonderful.


Maybe now she should try everything on?
