 Outfit 1 Post 2 (Hi Professor, question here!)
Kye was finally feeling ready to return to work on her outfits. After spending more time than ever in the Entertainment Room, she had looked at different Muggle outfits and was ready to try her regular day outfit. This just seemed easier. That was okay right? Kye grabbed her mannequins from the side, relieved that no one had taken them while she was gone. She claimed a table, and laid the fabric out. She eyed it, trying to picture exactly how she wanted to cut it. She wanted to make something that she could potentially actually wear out if she ever needed to. Why wouldn’t she? It wasn’t going to be all wobbly lined, like her beanie. She was going to take her time with this. They had all term; there was no need to rush.
The first thing Kye saw when she looked at the charmeuse was ribbon. She visualized making a little bit of an open area in the back and the top could be tied into a bow! How cute would that be?! All she had to do was make a tube top type thing and connect the strap part. In this case it would probably be easier to sew the straps than to try to cut the fabric into that shape… Yea, she would actually rather use the sewing machine in that case. She lay the green fabric up at the top of her table, and looked to see what she wanted to put on the bottom. There was denim of course, but she was definitely not experienced enough to attempt the classic denim pockets and stuff… Maybe a skirt? Possibly, but that felt like it was a bit too lazy for the assignment. Having a halter top and a skirt, felt a little too much like making two tubes and calling it an outfit… Okay, well she would have to see about the denim then. Oh! There was Professor Stewart… Well, with that timing, Kye felt compelled to ask.
“Professor? I want to make denim jeans or shorts… Would you be able to help me understand the stitching on those?”
