Abra Botros was not exactly well known for his timekeeping skills. Despite being a Hogwarts student and living in the castle for as long as he had, he was still just awful at judging when the right time was to stop whatever he was doing and set off and be where he needed to be without being horrendously late. Actually, he was inclined to blame Théo, even though they didn't hang out together all the time and therefore that didn't possibly make sense.

Somehow, though, it was definitely still Tayobore's fault.

After passing through the locker room - and checking it was definitely empty just in case that was where they were supposed to meet - Abra stepped out onto the pitch and clapped eyes on the team. Okay. Good. GOOD. That was good, because he was starting to wonder if he'd got his times or dates wrong and missed a practice OR that it was actually a trick or something to lure him out into the open so that... something bad(?) could happen. As he crossed the pitch, Abra swung leg over his broom, effectively mounting it mid-stride, and flew the rest of the distance while staying and ground level.

A 'hi' or a 'hello' or a 'sorry I'm late but time is an illusion and a traitorous one at that' would have been good manners, but for some reason any and all greetings and apologies seemed to stick in his throat. In the end he just smiled at all those gathered, giving a nod to the people he knew best, and then oh-so-casually slid himself sideways on his broom, doing a sort of half Sloth Grip Roll so that he hung from it upside down, his hair dangling down towards the ground. It just sort of felt nice, being upside down, and Abra had reached the point with his teammates where (for the most part) he was no longer completely terrified of doing something out of the ordinary in front of them, because he knew they wouldn't mock him (too much) or be unkind to him. Probably.

Truth be told, he was maybe feeling a little stressed (shocking, he knew), and it was because of Gryffindor's recent win. Out of nowhere, a worry had suddenly occurred to him: what if he'd raised people's expectations and couldn't match up to them later on? Rationally he knew it was a ridiculous thought, that he was good at Quidditch, and that other people beating him once or even being better than him in general didn't automatically take away his own talent, but anxiety wasn't a rational thing and never had been and probably never would be.

The point was, he was stressed, and when he was stressed, he liked to hang upside down and feel all the blood rush to his head and the tug of gravity as it tried to pull him to the ground and it made him feel an whole lot better. Actually flying IN the air would probably make him feel better too, but Abra was polite enough to wait for the practice to actually start, though he was really quite impatient (evidenced by his already being on (read: under) his broom).
