Merlin's beard how was she already back? This was actually probably the most excited Kye had been since her first year if she was being honest... She had decided her direction for the year, and it felt like New Year's Day. She was energized! Well, the feast wasn't a bad addition either of course. She had a seat at her beloved Slytherin table with just a minute before the Sorting Ceremony began.
Kye watched as the tiny ones entered the Great Hall, the mixed emotions shown on their faces. As the Ceremony started, Kye looked for the familiar faces arriving at the table. Ah there was Sky! Ahh it was pretty exciting to be friends with the Captain!
"Congratulations Sky!!" Kye enthused, joining in with everyone else.
And Vivi! Ugh and her lovely Prefect badge shining up the room.
"That badge looks great on you Vivi!" Kye remarked as Vivian arrived. The memory of being a first year and getting to hold the Prefect's badge... Dot, right? Sounded right.
The group waiting to be sorted started to dissipate, and Kye could feel the inevitable hunger that comes with being minutes from the feast.
