Zyanya walked into Ollivander's, slightly nervous. As she looked around, she realized her hands were shaking. She took a few breaths and calmed herself down. Mum had explained the whole thing, so there was nothing to be worried about, she told herself. Her parents had chosen to wander around while she got her wand sorted.

She saw that there was an open area where a tape was hovering and furiously taking measurements. As she waited her turn, she took a moment to see around. She saw a lot of young students, who were probably first years and hoped that she would get to make friends with them. She had never had proper friends before and her mum had reassured her that she would have plenty at Hogwarts.

When her turn came, she stepped forward and held her breath while the tape did its job. She wondered what the logic behind the measurements were, it seemed to measure different things for different people. Finally, she was done.
Her heartbeat raced as she nervously awaited to get her wand.
