Just after entering the doors, Emmalyn took a long deep breath. The sugary sweet wonderfulness filled her lungs and a smile grew across her face. With a nod of delight, she slowly walked passed the ice cream and baked goods displays and headed for an empty booth. Choosing a treat was far too important to be done with haste. It was her very first time in a magical ice cream parlor and she didn't take new experiences lightly.

After settling into her booth, she reached into her bag and pulled out her journal to record the moment. She knew she would have to write home about everything that happened, from the smells and colors, to the unique flavor options. "Mom will never believe such flavors if I told her. Well, at least she wouldn't have before I received my letter from Hogwarts" she mumbled under her breath.
