She was sitting on the ground next to the fireplace, laying her back against the wall. She was watching Avi chase her own tail. The dogs black hair reflecting the light, making her look as though she was made of flames. November's mind was vacant, she was bored out of her witts, she wondered vaguely what was going on outside. She had already used the climbing walls several times each. And had played quadpot she didn't know how many times. She had played soccer. She had even played quiditch. "If only Ilvermorny had a forbidden forest like that one brittish school." she said as she scratched behind Avi's ear. "Now that would be fun." she smiled to herself, imagining what would have happened If one of the founders was some sort of mysterious evil mastermind who had hidden secret pasages in every corner of the school. When it was way too cold to do much of anything, Veronica always found herself drawn towards the common room, if for no reason other than the fact that there was a fireplace. It certainly wasn’t the prospect of company that drew her, as some people were just plain annoying; of course there WERE exceptions or that, she just found that talking to others could be boring and rather tedious at times. Exploring the school and playing games was much more to her interests, and if it wasn’t so cold she’d probably be spending her time in a much more interesting fashion. As it was, she was setting about finding a good place to sit by the fireplace.
There was another girl nearby, and Ronnie was sure that her name was a month or something, but she couldn’t remember what one it could be. No matter, as she would find out soon enough. It was the dog that held her interest more, though the comment about the forbidden forest got an eyebrow raise; did she REALLY want a forest with such creatures as acromantulas? It was mind boggling and honestly she had no idea why her mother insisted being Headmistress of such a place. Anyway... She gave a small smile. ”What’s your dog’s name?” she asked with mild curiosity. |
