She smiled and said hello to Olivia and Emmeline, but didn't have much time to chat as the lesson was beginning.
Kitty had heard a little bit about augurs before, but she'd always inwardly snickered at the idea that there could be any real magic in all that. It was SO superstitious. But then again, all that snickering happened when she thought the exact same thing about all Divination - and she' been proven wrong about some of her views on this subject already. So...maybe she was wrong about this one too?
Willing to be open minded and curious, Kitty approached the box to take a pair of binoculars. As she picked a pair from the box, she almost asked Professor Vance if she often studied birds to predict her future, but decided that question could wait until after class.
Once she'd retrieved the binoculars, she stood by the side of the barn doors and watched the others to see if anyone wanted a partner. She was totally cool either way. |
