Maisie hadn't been looking forward to coming to Hogwarts. Since her father had disappeared, she hadn't wanted to leave her mother much. The draw of the Astronomy tower had been the one thing that had cheered her up when the train left the station.
She wasn't as nervous about the Sorting as some kids seemed to be. Maisie wasn't too bothered about her house. When the Sorting Hat placed her in Ravenclaw though, she had to admit she was pleased.
Sitting down at the Ravenclaw table, Maisie looked up to admire the enchanted ceiling. |
